RARE! ALBERT KING - "LIVE WIRE / BLUES POWER" ORIGINAL 7-INCH REEL TO REEL TAPE - 1968 "Live Wire / Blues Power" (1968) • STAX /AMPEX TAPES # X 2003 • 3¾ IPS History: Live Wire / Blues Power was Albert King's first live album and was recorded in June 1968 at Bill Graham’s Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. During his career, King influenced many later blues guitarists including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. King died from a heart attack on December 21, 1992 in Memphis, Tennessee. Condition: Near Mint. Except for some slight shelf wear and slight yellowing on the back cover, the Box, Reel, Reel Label and Tape are a well preserved Blues artifact, in storage for decades. MEGA hard to find on the Reel To Reel Tape Format! The box does not smell of cigarettes, etc. Using headphones, both sides of the tape were listed to in their entirely and the playback found to be clean and clear. > During playback, there were not any breaks, gaps, damage or splices found.
