It comes with an evaluation paper from 2003 from an expert violon maker (luthier). A proof of its value. The sound of this instrument is rich, powerful and complex. It had a great sound quality. The top is made of two parts of first quality wood. The thumb pores are very red. The back is made of two maple pieces with large and deep waves. The sides are made from the same wood as the back. The scroll is darker than the rest of the instrument. The neck has been thinned for easier playing and comfort. The tail piece, the pegs and the chin rest are made of rosewood. It comes with a BAM FRANCE viola case that has a retail value of 450$ and 800$ depending on the seller as most of you know, a MACH ONE shoulder rest and of course brand new strings. (all this for less)Description de l'instrument : D'une valeur de 9000$. Évaluation faite 2003 par un expert luthier à l'appui.Il a été joué par deux altistes jusqu'à maintenant. Instrument d'une grande qualité sonore, vraiment ça vaut la peine de l'entendre.La table est faite de deux parties de bois de premier choix. Les pores sont très rouges. Le fond est fait de deux pièces, le bois du fond est en érable comportant des ondes larges et profondes. Les éclisses sont du même type de bois que le fond. La tête est faite de poirier, elle est d'apparence plus foncée que le reste de l'instrument. Le vernis est brun sur fond jaune dorée.Le manche est original et a été retravaillé pour plus de confort et de facilité d'exécution. L'instrument vient avec un étui BAM FRANCE qui est vendu entre 450 et 800$ selon les endroits, une épaulière MACH ONE et des cordes neuves. (vendu pour beaucoup moins)!!!!!!!!
