The finger board is made of ebony with inlaid mother of pearl (extremely expensive option). The top is made of spruce also with mother of pearl on the cap and around the opening. The keys are gold plated. The bowl (or belly) is made of walnut. The sides and back have detailed art work very rare on bouzoukis. This is also an expensive option. This particular bouzouki is one of a kind. The luthier is (Yanoulas) in Greece. There are no blemishes or marks of any kind on this instrument. Bouzoukis are like a fine violin, with time the sound increases. The sound is crystal clear. This instrument is 1 year old. This bouzouki is being sold out of a private collection. All are custom ordered and professional. There is a brand new case that comes with it included in the price.
