Description
After taking some time off from Ebay (for personal reasons) a couple years ago, I'm ready to continue parting with items from my collection of nearly 40,000 promo singles, LP's & CD's from the 60's thru the 90's that I was fortunate to acquire from doing 35 years of Rock Radio. All of my records are guaranteed original pressings. In the 80's I advertised and auctioned off thousands of records in Goldmine magazine under the name of Hemp's Hits.If you are a previous customer, you already know of my integrity as an honest dealer. Those of you who are not familiar with me need only to check my Feedback. You can bid with complete confidence. These records were sorted, stored, moved a few times, and then stored again for decades. Some carefully, others were not.All of my gradings are strictly visual, and more often than not, quite generous. However, because of various quality in pressings,I cannot guarantee that the pressings themselves will be noise-free. That comes with the territory. Many 50's (e.g. Chess, Vee-Jay, etc.) & 60's pressings, especially the small independent labels, were pressed "on-the-cheap."____________________________________MY GRADING SCALEGrading below is for the disc only. I'll throw in the corresponding sleeve when possible.Sleeves show some natural wear from 40 years of storage. Many are perfect, others are not.(remember...unless noted, these records, to the best of my knowledge have never been played)NM (Near Mint): Record will show no serious scuffs or scratches in the playing area. May have minor scuffs on edges from decades of storage, or a small scuff, scratch or paper scuff on playing area. It's near mint, not mint (which would be 'sealed' to me)M- : A scuff or two or light scratch or two on either or both sides.VG+: Scuffs and some minor scratches in the playing area. Some will most likely be heard.VG: Many scuffs or scratches that will be heard but record should play fine.Record grading is subjective. That's why I offer a money back guarantee on everything I sell (no refunds on shipping charges). Bid with complete confidence. SHIPPING CHARGESSee bottom of this listing for shipping charge to your country.Shipping discount available for multiple winnings. Maximum records per package is 14.Domestic insurance is required on items $25 & up. I will NOT be responsible for lost packages that are not insured, domestic or international.NOTE: FOR OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS: BECAUSE OF IT'S VALUE, THIS PARTICULAR RECORD WILL BE SENT EXPRESS MAIL INTERNATIONAL WHICH ALLOWS ON-LINE TRACKING AND PROOF OF SHIPMENT. IF YOU WANT TO ADD INSURANCE, THAT IS YOUR CHOICE, BUT I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR PACKAGE IS LOST IN THE MAIL WITHOUT IT. EXPRESS MAIL INTERNATIONAL IS $26.95. BE PREPAREDTO PAY THAT AMOUNT IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE USA.FEEDBACKI will leave positive feedback upon receipt of positive feedback from the buyer. If there is a problem with an item, please let me know first by contacting me through Ebay - NO 'BEST OFFERS' ACCEPTED- I have other items up for auction or sale right now. You can see them here. _________________________________________________THE MINUTEMEN - "Kathy / Another Day With Me"Original Grand Rapids 45 from 1967Visually Graded Condition of disc : VG (but plays better...listen for yourself) (One of the rarer Grand Rapids discs...probably not more than a few hundred pressed. Disc spent a lot of time without a sleeve, numerous small scratches, and a tiny chip on edge that will not affect play. Listen to the actual clips to make a judgement for yourself. I've sat on this record for 40 years...sure, I wish it was in killer condition, but face it...how many more of these do you really think will ever surface?Price guides have this listed as a 1966 record, but I disagree. I knew these guys, and my band The SoulBenders played at least one, if not more gigs together with them at some point. I don't recall them putting this record out 'before' ours which came out in '67.(Since I originally posted this...I've heard from another GR resident who reminded me these guys went to my high shool...graduating 2 years after me, whichmay even mean this disc is later than '67) Just a trio (at least I 'think'), but nice guys who didn't stay together for very long. All I remember is one of them was tall, skinny and friendly...everything else is a blur.)OVERSEAS BIDDERS: Please read special circumstances regarding this record in the 'shipping' information box above.YOU CAN HEAR CLIPS FROM THIS RECORD WITH THE LINKS BELOW. I USE A SHURE V-15 CARTRIDGE TIED FOR MONO FOR MY MONO 45'S TO MINIMIZE NOISE.THIS RECORD COULD SOUND NOISIER IN STEREO.YOU CAN HEAR A CLIP (at 80k) FROM THE A-SIDE HEREYOU CAN HEAR A CLIP (at 80k) FROM THE B-SIDE HERE(Need I mention that the record itself will sound better than these low-fi files?)
