Description
Description:From their website: The super-burly Crispi CX R Telemark Boot packs a stiff flex and solid four-buckle strength to help you push the mountain around, not the other way around. Advanced and expert telemarkers take the CX R up for mean lines in the gnarliest conditions for killer performance and durability. The stiff Pebax shell and frame provides rigid feel for powerful performance when you drop into high speed lines of potentially mixed snow conditions. The CX R pushes through crud and cuts into boiler plate conditions with out faltering to give you dependable power to get you through any lines with confidence. What others have to say:Skiing magazine: "Crispi's stiffest four-buckle boot has enough mojo to drive fat skis, and testers were impressed with how comfortably the XR toured in walk mode. Minor complaints: They're a little too heavy for long tours, and the power strap is flimsy." Powder Mag: "A very lightweight, stiff boot for skiers who demand performance, the X-R returns unchanged. Everything - from its soft Pebax-injected Bi-Density shell to the carbon fiber instep wrap - was done to maximize strength-to-weight ratio. The four-buckle X-R also comes equipped with a thermomoldable liner and three incline adjustments, as well as a walk function." Backcountry magazine: "Crispi's XR is arguably the stiffest-flexing telemark boot on the market. A woven, carbon fiber-enhanced chassis in the lower shell adds emphasis to that stiffness. And though it might seem heretical, Scott McGee, Training Manager for Jackson Hole's Mountain Sports School and coach of the PSIA Nordic Team, says part of the beauty of the XR is how well they make 'no-compromise alpine turns. Then when you want to drop a knee, the bellows respond smoothly without sacrificing edge control by providing good tip pressure throughout the turn.' Testers agreed, one noting: 'It would take years to break these things in. Not for the timid.' Not tough enough for the XR? Crispi still brings the 'smoother flexing' XP. Still a four buckle, but for a lot less cake, and providing a lot less punch." CONDITION: Both the shell and liners are in excellent condition. There are a few scuffs on the plastic. The liner is heat moldable and was done once, but can be done several more times with no problem. They did not fit me, I skied them one and a half days. The original flimsy inserts are gone as I bought other ones and threw the originals away, so you will need inserts and to have them molded which is advised anyway. These boots are two years old and I bought them new at the beginning of last season. The pictures are of the actual boot. Questions call 970-270-2510.
