Surf, Eat, Sleep, Surf, Eat, Sleep. Of course he has lots of shark stories that goes with this board as well. Yikes.. From the year 1977-1978 with a full pointed nose with maximum thickness carried forward for extra paddling performance. The tail shape is a classic wing swallow which reduces tail area to give the board holding power during turns for ultimate looseness. It is fast, loose and easy to turn. The bottom has the original heavy "V" Contour between the fins. It is 6'7", 21" wide and 2 3/4" thick. My husband is 6'5" and standing next to the board. At over 50 years of age he states he has hung up any surfing days and has taken up bike riding instead. This board does have pressure dings on it as shown, and since my husband was an avid surfer he states the board can easily be fixed. Also on the tails you can see where they too have damage to them, which he states its no big deal to get them fixed from the surf shop. They are all fixed with fiberglass easily and can be restored to like new condition if you wish too. Any surf shop can handle this with ease and it doesn't take much time to get it done. If we lived other than in a lake area we could get it fixed easily. But living in Oklahoma we just don't have any surf shops here to restore the board. If you are going to ride it, get it restored, if you are not hang it up as you please. What is really great about not having it done is the life and energy that it carries being left as is. These boards are becoming harder and harder to get ahold of as most people will just keep them in the garage or basement. So don't miss out on this awesome board that has lots of Character that would even be great to leave alone and hang up on a wall or in a place of business for great conversation piece.
