The 2008 Cabrinha Convert improves on last year's immensely popular Omega, offering an all-around freeride kite that's great for a wide variety of conditions and riding styles. A true bow kite, the Convert is a high-performance machine that is easy to handle across a huge wind range, and relaunches with ease. As with all Cabrinha kites, the Convert comes with the Sprint single-point inflation system, that will quickly get you off the beach and on the water. The Convert's robust construction is built tough to withstand abuse in high-wear areas. The leading edge, wing tips, struts and trailing edge are all made from Dacron, and join the canopy with further reinforcement materials. Swept wing tips and the curved shape of the leading edge give the Convert its incredibly relaunchability. This profile minimizes contact with the surface of the water when your kite goes down, and the constant curvature of the leading edge allows the kite to easily roll onto a wingtip and lift off the water. The Convert comes with the versatile Cabrinha Powerdrive 2N1 control system, which allows you to ride in the 2:1 mode with pulleys, or in the 1:1 mode without pulleys. In the 2:1 setting the pulleys effectively double your inputs when steering, powering and depowering, resulting in fast responsiveness and precise kite control. In 1:1 mode the pulleys are disabled, virtually eliminating bar pressure and offering a smooth power and depower band that is great for freeriding and unhooked wakestyle riding. From beginners to experts, the Cabrinha Convert is a tough and forgiving kite that will adapt to any terrain.
